Master's Degree in Drug Development & Product Management

Program Overview

The master’s degree in Drug Development & Product Management focuses on building the managerial, regulatory, and pharmacoeconomic skills and insight to equip graduates to effectively lead the complex facets of the drug development process from discovery-to-patient.

The degree consists of 72 quarter units of study over six quarters. The program provides 36 units of general classroom study and 24 units of specialized professional study. In the final quarter of study, students participate in 12 units of on-site practice internship work with an industry sponsor.

Objectives and Competencies

Students in the Program will:

  • Gain insight into the process of successful drug product development and deployment
  • Will acquire requisite knowledge and skill to collaborate effectively in the ongoing management of drug products
  • Be provided a solid, practical bridge to employment opportunities in pharmaceutical and managed care industries or related government agencies such as the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) or the European Medicines Agency (EMA)
