Achieving a Master of Science in Drug Development and Product Management gives you the specialized skill set required for careers and advancement in the pharmaceutical, biotech, and other life science industries. From Coursework to Career
Clinical
Graduates who choose clinical positions in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries can expect to provide clinical support and scientific input to multi-functional drug product teams. They may also be involved with study design, protocol concepts, preparation, statistical analysis plans, and reporting.
Marketing
Marketing professionals in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries contribute to the strategic direction and execution of brand strategies and are responsible for brand-level development including market analysis, strategic planning, and brand management. These individuals might also manage marketing materials to establish product branding and messaging, develop and implement product education, publication, and other promotional activities to communicate product positioning and lifecycle development of products to customers.
Business Development
Individuals who work in business development are responsible for creating strategic plans to enter and expand new business opportunities. Business development strategies include prospecting, prioritizing opportunities, evaluating, conducting diligence, transacting and implementing business and collaboration opportunities. They maintain contacts and relationships related to external opportunities consistent with their company's strategies and goals for portfolio management.
Regulatory Science
Regulatory science professionals are responsible for various activities related to regulatory affairs, including the preparation and submission of regulatory documents, correspondence with regulatory agencies, tracking, filing, and writing regulatory standard operating procedures. They will also provide regulatory support to cross-functional teams.
Entrepreneurship
Those who plan on being entrepreneurs who have identified an unmet medical need in the life science industry will learn how to create a business plan and raise capital. Entrepreneurs are excited by the challenges that come with starting new companies.
